1,880 Square FT gym on the ground floor of a new luxury, 39-unit, commercial building at the SE corner of Ashland and Lawrence in the Ravenswood area of Chicago, IL.

Design a sleek, open concept, strength training-centric, boutique fitness studio, that empowers women through strength & community and reflects Ladies Who Lift and owner Rae Reichlin’s no BS approach to health, fitness and performance.

Ladies Who Lift- Chicago sought to empower woman through strength by designing a boutique fitness studio to host small group & 1-on-1 personal training, educational workshops and community events to promote LWL and collaborate with other local business owners.

The space needed to feel open, bold, yet inviting while maintaining functionality, blending seamlessly with the brand and mission of Ladies Who Lift, and the personality and style of owner Rae Reichlin.

Additionally, the equipment had to align with Ladies Who Lift training systems and methods, so clients could crush their goals.

To achieve Ladies Who Lift-Chicago’s vision, we designed a custom rig incorporating laser-cut logos and built-in free weight storage & portable cable systems. The custom rig added a luxurious touch, ensuring both functionality and brand awareness.

We took personalization further by designing and manufacturing the urethane dumbbells, bumper plates and competition kettlebells, incorporating LWL’s logo and signature fonts directly onto the equipment for a seamless brand experience.

Black and yellow tones were emphasized throughout the gym to complement LWL’s brand, creating a cohesive and inviting atmosphere.

The result is a sleek, modern fitness space that offers a balance between elegance and functionality. With expansive views of Chicago, the gym provides a refreshing, luxurious workout experience that enhances the studio’s overall appeal.

The custom equipment not only meets LWL’s high design standards but also reinforces their brand identity, offering women a truly empowering, bespoke fitness environment in line with the studio’s lively surroundings.
